September has flown by. In no particular order
- I got to see a friend from New York who was visiting. We saw each other twice. Was nice to catchup.
- Finally fixed a gap around my front door. In cold temps I felt nothing but cold air flowing through. In the heat I’m pretty sure some of the cold air has been escaping. $225
- Celebrated my 3rd anniversary with my boyfriend. Bought some flowers, went out to a fancy Italian restaurant. Made me reflect on how far I’ve come and how much better life is with someone who is super supportive of me.
- Upgraded to both the iPhone 18 Pro and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. Both are slight improvements. I feel the devices are a little more responsive, have better battery life, the phone doesn’t get as warm as it used to, the camera quality is a wee bit better than before.
- Cleaned out my a/c outside. The unit was so filthy and the temps were in the high 90s. Putting it together was much harder than taking it apart. I still had one screw leftover. The goal is for the unit to have more airflow and not work as hard / waste as much energy to function. Temps hit as high as 101 I was averaging $11.94 a day that week. The following week $11.66/day, last week with it being slightly cooler was $9.35/day, so far this wk $8.96/day. Probably not going much deeper than that.
- Today my stepdad checked himself into the ER. He’s in his 70s and may have some heart issues. Hoping for the best but he’s in the best possible place to get a proper diagnosis.
- I’ve been getting more aggressive with the workouts. Basically do something every single day no excuses. The scale isn’t budging but I do feel my strength and endurance increasing.
- There are rumors of a trucker strike tomorrow 10/1. It feels ver grassroots and unorganized, I guess we’ll see what happens.
- The grounds here have been so dry due to the heat. Seeing cracks in the dirt despite regular watering. I hope my foundation is good, my home inspector made it sound like I would see huge cracks going up the walls. I haven’t seen any, only some small side to side shifts
- My energy bills have been off the chain, the last one was $394.88, before that $341.15 and before that $289.50. So $1,025 in 3 months. I’ve very much looking forward to a break from that.

My next mortgage payment is coming out tomorrow. Another ~$2930, just clicked the payment button. Nothing due again until January 1, 2027! My net worth only went up only $722 this month including 2 paychecks. Mostly because of the market and all the wild geopolitical stuff happening now. In January I go back to making 401k contributions again.
Anyway time for bed … ✌🏾
